Before Arriving

There are many things that you have to complete before you begin your journey to the airport! This is a stressful situation at the best of times, but COVID has really impacted any teacher trying to get into a new country.

The KIS HR team is very knowledgeable on what documents are required to get teachers into Thailand, but location of your departure may also require travelers to have additional paperwork.

With so many variables, it is best to directly reach out to the HR team to get answers.

HELPFUL APPS

Before you depart, we recommend that you download a few handy apps to your smartphone. They often require an OTP (one time password) to activate. It is good to do this now, while you have a functioning SIM card. These apps will help after your arrival in Bangkok, and will help with communication while you are in ASQ (Alternative State Quarantine)

Line – highly used in Thailand. Many members of the KIS team have a “Line ID” and you can easily connect.

grab

Grab – like Uber – English is the main language, and once you have a bank account set up you are able to pay without cash.

Food Panda – English is the main language in this app. It is easy to use once you have your location set up.
